Anila and Zac are local to New Orleans. Both in the medical field, they met while working a shift in the ER and have been together ever since. Their timeless, multicultural wedding brought together the traditions of Zac’s Catholic southern family and Anila’s Indian heritage. Their ceremony was at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in the French Quarter with their reception next door at the Old Ursuline Convent.
The parterre and interior first floor served as the cocktail hour space for the guests, while the rear garden was reserved for dinner and dancing.
This historic venue was built between 1748 and 1752 and is the oldest structure in New Orleans. The parterre was the perfect spot for the couple’s first look. Their desire for a timeless, elegant wedding was easily brought about through the lush, green gardens and clean white facade of their venue.The natural surroundings were enhanced by added greenery, soft neutral tones in floral, dinnerware, and accents.
They incorporated Anila’s heritage through music, having both a classic rock cover band and also an Indian DJ to play throughout the band’s set.
Anila ended the night with a dress change to a custom, red Sari and traditional Indian jewelry.
