New Orleans was the locale for Madeline and Evan’s destination wedding. They enlisted the help of Maria Gomila, planner, designer and lead coordinator with Uncommon Camellia to bring their vision to life.
When Maria asked this couple about their style, they described it as elegant and antique. Hotel Peter and Paul was the perfect setting for the sophisticated aesthetic they envisioned for their day.
Photographer Gabriel Hail captured the bridal party in the Stage Lounge on the 3rd floor of Hotel Peter and Paul.
Blue and red gingham for the flat lay and groom’s pocket watch.
Sixpence in the left shoe for good luck, longevity and prosperity.
Though Madeline and Evan chose to see each other first at the ceremony, we did not miss out on intimate moments with just the two of them. During cocktail hour, they snuck away for intimate portraits together. We love the scalloped detail on Madeline’s dress, and ode to her signature style.
By sunset, the Church was converted for the reception, a complete transformation in less than 30 minutes.
Every detail was vintage with a modern flair.
