When Whitney and Jack envisioned their November wedding in New Orleans they imagined authenticity, intentionality, cohesion, and timelessness. Whitney, who is from the area and Jack, originally from the West Coast, met online through a mutual acquaintance – the last place either of them expected to find love. After a long-distance romance, they decided to close the gap and the rest is history.
Whitney and Jack chose the beautiful Omni Royal Orleans, in the heart of the historic French Quarter, as their wedding home-base. The ceremony was held in the Royal Garden Terrace Patio – an open-air courtyard situated in the center of the hotel.
Planner and Designer, Ashley Brien enhanced the existing façade in texture and volume with flowers featuring their color scheme of cream and blush, with a hint of blue.
Lanterns and suspended candles helped to create a romantic, private garden for their nuptials. From there, family and friends made their way inside to the Grand Salon Foyer and Josephine Bonaparte Room for cocktail hour, featuring a champagne tower and raw oyster bar to kick off the festivities.
The stately Grand Salon Ballroom was the perfect setting for an intimate seated dinner for one hundred. Elevated service, polished table settings and a cultivated menu treated guests to refinement and grandeur. French blue linens mirrored the upholstered walls of the ballroom and Whitney’s sapphire engagement ring, while ivory candles in crystal-cut glass enhanced the enchanting atmosphere.
Descending greenery surrounding the crystal chandelier in the gold-tray ceiling drew the eyes up to behold a dramatic focal point.
Dancing followed dinner, then a New Orleans Brass Band led guests on a traditional Second Line parade through the hotel lobby to cap off the evening.
