Emily and Kyle met through mutual friends at the Austin City Limits festival. This event, and their love for festivals and music, inspired their rave-like wedding reception.
Custom invitation suite was made by Paume Design Co.
Their venue, Marché, located in the French Quarter, has sweeping views of the Mississippi River and the French Quarter. That, in addition to the building’s character and architectural features, makes this an ideal choice for their wedding ceremony and reception.
Their ceremony was in the Terrace room upstairs, a room surrounded by windows on all sides. The lush floral aisle starter and arch was done by Pick A Petal.
Custom newspaper programs was a fun keepsake and kept guests busy as they arrived for the ceremony. This timeless backdrop paired with the acrylic chairs made for a light and airy, yet modern touch to this classic NOLA venue.
Guests were welcomed downstairs to cocktail hour in Dutch Alley, an alleyway surrounded by their venue and the French Market buildings on either side creating an open air, yet private venue space.
Guests were surprised with a taste of Mardi Gras when Emily and Kyle threw beads to everyone from the balcony above. That paired with the sounds of a traditional NOLA brass band, gave their guests a cocktail hour experience to remember.
Guests were welcomed back upstairs for dinner followed by dancing. Sleek black table linens with acrylic ghost chairs gave this timeless wedding a modern touch.
Emily and Kyle flew their DJ in from Texas because he could really deliver the rave-like, club experience they were hoping for. The DJ’s backdrop and the entire venue was illuminated by three oversized disco balls.
They provided a glitter bar for guests. Adding all types of glows as well as inflatable disco balls really enhanced the overall vibe.
As guests exited the reception, they were given Raising Canes to go, one of Emily and Kyle’s favorite late night snacks.
They ended the night with a traditional New Orleans second line to their after party.
